Rehab Coaching and Personal Training at Farndon Physiotherapy
About Rehab Coaching
Rehab coaching works along side Physiotherapy. It's prescribed personal-training that is recovery specific and takes into consideration both your physical and your psychological recovery, expertly working on your functional ability as well as your confidence, aims and long-term goals. Your Rehab Coach will track, record and develop your progress during and beyond your physiotherapy treatment. This provides you with an outstanding recovery pathway not offered by most physiotherapy practices. So, whether you are a senior recovering from joint replacement or an elite athlete looking to re-establish form after injury, you're in the best place.
Is this for me?
Here's the scenario - Your physio has prescribed you a series of exercises and if truth be known you're not 100% sure you're doing them right, and your motivation is low. What's more, thoughts of going to the gym with masses of unfamiliar equipment and lots of people who all appear to know exactly what they're doing is a little overwhelming. You need an expert personalised guide you can trust to help you with your specific needs. That's where our rehab coaching comes to the rescue.
A good coach creates a safe, non-judgmental space in which you can take stock of your current situation and explore how to make changes, learn skills, boost your confidence and most importantly to achieve your goals. When we combine this approach with personal exercise training and injury rehabilitation, as we do at Farndon Physiotherapy, it provides you with a training and exercise rehab service that the simply isn't available at other physiotherapy clinics.

Our Rehab Coaching aims at educating as well as providing support during your physiotherapy treatment, because we believe that when you understand how exercise effects your body you'll become more motivated and empowered with the skills you need to help you stay fit for the goals you set. So whether you plan to run a marathon or just be fit and mobile enough to play with your grandchildren our Rehab Coaching will support you to realise your goals.
